I am a SQL Server professional with over 30 years of experience doing, speaking, and writing about data modeling, SQL Server coding and internals, ETL, and being involved in the SQL Server community.
I have written and contributed to several books on database design with SQL Server (Including the more recent edition out in 2021. My latest book is on using graph structures in SQL Server. In addition, I have also contributed to quite a few other books on SQL Server topics, including a book on Dynamic Management Views with Tim Ford (@SQLAgentMan) that has had more legs than an army of centipedes!.
I also try to get around and do presentations on database design whenever I can at any data platform event I can drive from Cleveland, TN.
I upload all of my slides to a location that I link to on the presentations tab. If you are interested in having me speak to your group, check out my calendar... (and I am always available for parties if you need someone to lead naptime.)
Feel free to drop me a line anytime at louis@drsql.org if you have comments or just want to tell me that you have used the site. You may know me as drsql@hotmail.com. I know hotmail is passe, so I am going to change my email address the week after MIcrosoft removes the name: timestamp from SQL Server (so never). Just like the timestamp datatype, I have too much legacy with that email address.
If you want my full information, check out the About page.
